graduation night

I finished my comprehensive small business course from University of Hartford. We had a 'business showcase' where people could have a table and display their business. I chose to offer free henna to everyone, and had the most popular table! yeah! I was even spotlighted for it in the address later by the keynote speaker, Rob Simmons.

It was fun, and I had the opportunity to do many people with dark skin, which I hadn't had the opportunity to do before. Everyone seemed to have a good time.

EGGStock - a music festival

Flamig Farm holds a great music festival. Their logo is a big EGGS (written backwards- long story...) so, since they have a music festival similar to woodstock... they call it EGGStock.

I had a booth there and got to enjoy great music while henna-ing!

A friend helped me out being my front person, taking in the cash, helping with design choices, and organizing the line. There were 16 in line at one point! For my first festival/ outdoor event- this was fabulous!

We will definitely do this festival again. It was a fun event, and I love going to these.

one of the staff from the farm wanted to display her love for the logo

Music & Arts .... & Sonic Fire

At a great event, prior to a Sonic Fire show in Collinsville, there was music all day long and I hennaed in the sun. It was windy like crazy, so alas, no tent. The day started slowly, but ended up with many happy clients.

look how red my hennaed hair looks in the sun!

fun dixieland jazz playing next to my henna booth!

great palm

I loved the cover of a Mehndi book I have, and wanted to try doing some of it on my palm. It was intricate and repetitive and beautiful. It was a bit hard through the crease near the thumb, but successful nonetheless. I got many comments on it.
I loved it and even redid it a few weeks later!
